TRAINING & BEHAVIOUR
Consults are done on a one to one basis in the clients own home and will last approximately two hours depending on the issues we are dealing with.
A single session includes initial assessment, demonstration and practise of the required training exercises, working together to establish an understanding of the methods being used and development of a training plan for going forward. With this you will get a follow up personalised report and three month phone/email support.
Types of training problems dealt with in single session include but not limited to:
Puppy Training
Basic Obedience
Nuisance Jumping
Recall
Pulling on lead
You’re not going to have a fully trained, impeccably behaved dog at the end of one session but you and your dog will have the foundations. Having learned the basics you’ll have gained the knowledge and confidence to train with your best friend!
Some dogs present with particular behavioural problems that need more in depth work. This will need a longer single session or further sessions to help improve situations. Please be aware with behavioural problems there could be underlying issues with your dog that may need veterinary intervention and I would always advise to get your dog vet checked if you notice an unusual behaviour suddenly appearing.
Issues that can appear as behavioural problems can include the following:
Separation Anxiety
Aggression
Resource Guarding
Fearful reactions that may become aggressive
